Refund Policy

How payment reviews work when a task is cancelled, incomplete or materially different from the agreement.

Effective date: 1 August 2026

Payment protection

Customers secure the full displayed task price before work begins. NEEDS reviews eligible task problems before releasing or returning funds. Payment processing and refunds may be completed through Stripe or another disclosed payment provider.

When a refund may be available

  • The selected helper does not arrive or cancels without completing the task.
  • The task is not completed or is materially different from the agreed request.
  • There is a verified duplicate or unauthorized charge.
  • A refund is required by applicable consumer law.

When a refund may be reduced or declined

  • The task was completed as described.
  • The customer changed the scope after acceptance without agreement.
  • The claim lacks sufficient information or conflicts with reliable task records.
  • The issue concerns dissatisfaction that is not a material failure of the agreed service.
  • The request is fraudulent, abusive or submitted outside a reasonable review period.

How to request review

Open the completed or active task in NEEDS and use Task Support. Include a clear explanation and relevant photos, messages or other evidence. If in-app access is unavailable, email [email protected] from your registered email address.

Timing

NEEDS aims to acknowledge requests promptly, but investigation time depends on evidence, user responses, safety concerns and payment-provider processing. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer controls the final posting time.

Cancellations and helper earnings

Any cancellation charge or helper compensation must be disclosed before confirmation. Helper earnings are not released for failed or refunded work unless NEEDS determines that a disclosed cancellation or partial-completion amount is payable.

Chargebacks

Contact NEEDS before filing a chargeback so the issue can be reviewed. Fraudulent or duplicate recovery attempts may lead to account restrictions. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable rights under applicable law.
